You really can't pick a more romantic setting for your summer wedding ceremony than a mountaintop vineyard, nestled above the trees in Dahlonega, Georgia. We've had the pleasure of capturing a wedding at Blue Mountain Vineyards before, and we couldn't wait to get back for Ryan & Jessica's gorgeous July ceremony.
Vineyard weddings aren't complete without a sunset stroll for two.
We sat down with Jessica a little over one year ago, and immediately loved her sweet, open personality and her familiar accent. With a huge part of our family residing in upstate New York, and many summers spent on the finger lakes for family reunions, Jessica sounded like family to us, and so we liked her on the spot. We got to meet Ryan for their engagement session last winter at McDaniel Farm Park. It was the chilliest day, but the time passed quickly, and when we were too cold to think about anything else, Ryan's sense of humor kept us all laughing.

The wedding ceremony was simple and to the point. Jessica walked down the aisle escorted by a parent on either arm, and both were beaming and happy as the vows and rings were exchanged. The guests faced a breathtaking backdrop of mountains, treetops, and open sunny blue sky. Immediately following the ceremony, the newlyweds took time to greet and hug each guest.

Ryan and Jessica's reception was vibrant and fresh. With mostly vegan dishes, we'd never photographed such a colorful buffet. After the first dance, father-daughter dance, and mother-son dance, the party hit full-swing with dancing, toasts, and all-out celebration. We managed to sneak the newlyweds away for some sunset photos in the Vineyard right before their sparkler exit.

We re-created the "Notebook pose" from Jessica and Ryan's engagement shoot, and we're not sorry about it either.
