We met up with Alex and Lauren on a sunny morning this Spring to capture their engagement photos in Atlanta’s Westside. When we chatted about location, shooting around Alex and Lauren’s stomping grounds felt right. Not only are we capturing their love story together, but also the setting that is so familiar to their life together - which makes it that much sweeter. After deciding to meet in the morning to beat the worst of the southern heat and humidity, we started our photo session while the city was still waking up. It’s always so much fun hanging out with couples and getting to know them before we capture their wedding, and Alex and Lauren’s personalities had us laughing the entire time. Not only has this couple weathered quite a few storms together already, but they’re planning a wedding in the midst of a pandemic and somehow still smiling and staying positive. That’s love, y’all. Keep on scrolling to see a few of our favorites from the engagement session!
Colton & Mollie's Sunset Engagement Session
Colton and Mollie are some of those people. We could immediately tell that they loved each other, and hearing the story of how Colton called dibs on Mollie in school was pretty much the cutest thing ever. We started on the front porch for some cozy photos, adventured around the lake capturing all the beautiful golden light that was showing off for us, and then hopped in the ATV and kept chasing the sunset.
David & Lauren's Wedding at Little River Farms in Milton, Georgia
One of the perks of being a wedding photographer in the Atlanta area is that there is no shortage of gorgeous wedding venues. David & Lauren found a perfect, secluded spot in Milton, Georgia called Little River Farms. As their ceremony neared, guests found a spot under shady umbrellas with a cold glass of fruit-infused water in hand, facing the curtained gazebo overlooking a quiet pond. The picturesque ceremony transitioned to the indoor-outdoor reception area. Cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, and celebration began in the gorgeous, candlelit space. David and Lauren were equal parts chill and excited. As Lauren walked down the aisle, arm and arm with her parents, David's smile was so big we couldn't help but join him. After the cocktail hour and dinner, and teary eyed speeches and clicking forks against champagne flutes resulting in a kiss from the bride to the groom, the dancing began. And oh the dancing. We have never seen such an energetic dance floor. David and Lauren exited their wedding surrounded by laughter and well wishes and sparklers, and we couldn't be happier to share their photos with you. Without further ado, David and Lauren's wedding at Little River Farms!
